Colic & Bedwetting
Colic
There has been a considerable amount of research into the topic of manual therapies including chiropractic and its effect on infantile colic. Some of these studies were randomised controlled trials and showed that Chiropractic care can help to reduce the daily crying time in babies with colic. While not found to be statistically significant, one of these studies in 2012 showed favourable results. The groups who received chiropractic care showed an average reduction in crying of 2 hours per day after 10 days of care as needed. If your child is struggling with colic and you would like to explore chiropractic care then get in touch to see how we could help.

Bedwetting
Bedwetting can be challenging for families - both for the parents and the child involved. Some parents find that traditional methods of resolving bed wetting issues do not work for their children. Chiropractors often see these children and find that tension carried in their physical body can impact how their physiological functions are carried out. A research study found that after 10 weeks of chiropractic care children experienced an average reduction from 9.1 wet night over a 2 week period to 7.6 wet nights over the same time period. The control group however experienced minimal change going from 12.1 nights prior to the trial to 12.2 nights after the trial. This study showed that chiropractic care may be able to help your child reduce their frequency of bedwetting.
